About Me

James Crossland is a 23-year-old technology entrepreneur, working between London and Sheffield.

A former student of Oundle School, James graduated from the London School of Economics in 2008 with an honours degree in Accounting and Finance. Whilst at LSE, he was an active member of the LSE Entrepreneurs, helping to establish the now renowned Entrepreneurs International Challenge (EPIC). In his final year, he set up the LSE Sailing Club, and was also selected by his peers as a FreshMinds Ones to Watch™.

James is co-founder of I Love Walking, a funded start-up providing MMS messages of UK walks, and a Director of Vivedia, a mature IT company he started whilst at LSE, specialising in video streaming services for the funeral and cremation industry, via their Life's Big Moments platform.

In his spare time James is a keen walker, having completed endeavours such as the Three Peaks Challenge, and climbed Mt Kilimanjaro. He is an aspiring petrol-head, owning three cars including an Alfa Romeo S4 Spider. As a professional sailor, holding both RYA Yachtmaster and Instructor qualifications, James regularly competes in regattas including Cowes Week and the biannual Rolex Fastnet Race.

James’ ambition is to travel around the world twice, sailing anticlockwise in a Swan 53 , before driving clockwise in a Jaguar XK-140.
